Candidate Reference Request

If you’re hiring someone new, you’ll probably need to request a reference. This customizable template can help you do just that.

Use this template to request 2-3 references during the final hiring stages. Make sure to ask candidates for their contact info (think: names, phones, emails) and their relationship to the referee. If you want to learn more about your candidates specific skills, ask for references from managers. But if you’re more into finding out how candidates work in a team, ask for references from coworkers.
