About the Sous Chef Position
We’re seeking a motivated and professional Sous Chef to join our team of chefs. Working as a Sous Chef, you’ll be responsible for helping plan the menu, managing junior kitchen staff, and assisting with the preparation of food.Â
The kitchen can get busy, so strong communication and multitasking skills are a must, as is the ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
Sous Chef Responsibilities
- Work with head chefs to develop new menu options based on seasonal stock and demand
- Test and approve all menu items
- Keep track of inventory, ordering new supplies as necessary
- Provide feedback on food quality, selecting new options if needed
- Prepare and cook dishes using various cooking methods
- Hire and manage staff
- Help train junior kitchen staff, ensuring dishes meet health and safety guidelines
- Fill in for the head chef as needed
Sous Chef Requirements
