About the Bank Teller Position

We’re seeking a personable, reliable worker to join our team as a Bank Teller. As a Bank Teller, you’ll be responsible for handling routine tasks, including taking deposits, handling withdrawals, and accepting payments.

In addition, you’ll also assist our clients with their needs. You’ll make recommendations about products and services our bank offers to ensure the client has the best experience possible.

Bank Teller Responsibilities

• Perform routine tasks for clients, including accepting deposits, handling withdrawals, and taking payments for accounts
• Assist in the opening and closing of various accounts, including checking and savings
• Inform clients of products and services offered by the bank
• Maintain and balance cash drawers
• Track and report information regarding transactions, bank supplies, and customer concerns, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date
• Adhere to all applicable banking laws and/or regulations
• Package cash and roll coins for storage
• Maintain confidentiality to build strong relationships with clients
• Practice good risk-management skills by looking for signs of fraudulent behavior
  

Bank Teller Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• [1+] years experience as a Bank Teller
• Must be able to do basic math, including percentages, fractions, and decimals
• Outstanding customer service, organizational, and time management skills
• Strong computer literacy skills
• Previous experience with financial institution software preferred
• Previous sales experience a plus
• A professional appearance
