  • Monitor accounts to ensure debtors adhere to repayment plans
  • Keep in-depth records of all communications and repayments or lack thereof 
  • Note any discrepancies or customer complaints, escalating if needed
  • Comply with requirements to start legal action if necessary

Debt Collector Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and various accounting programs
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly over the telephone
  • Superb negotiation and persuasion skills
